So, an intense pulse light penetrates into superficial layers of the skin and is absorbed by the melanin contained in the hair, particularly in the follicle, which is an authentic reserve of melanin.

This absorption means a significant increase of temperature immediately transmitted to the hair follicle and causing its selective destruction.

Once fully destroyed, the follicle will no longer produce new hair. If the light only damages it, the new hair will be much thinner which can be easily destroyed in the following treatment sessions.
